This Privacy Policy governs the mobile application UK Fuel Prices & Petrol Map (the "App"), developed and published by El Mate Company ("we", "our", or "us"). We are strongly committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. 100% Anonymous by Design (No Account Required)

UK Fuel Prices is designed to be used completely anonymously. We do not require you to create an account, register an email address, or provide any personally identifiable information (such as your name, phone number, or home address) to use the App.

2. Information Collection and Processing

a. Real-Time Location (Foreground Geolocation)

The App requires access to your device's GPS location solely while the App is actively in use (foreground). This permission is used exclusively to:

• Center the map around your current location and display nearby petrol stations and EV chargers.
• Calculate distances and suggest cost-effective pitstops along your planned route.

We do not track your location in the background when the App is closed, nor do we store any history of your movements on our servers.

b. Anonymous Authentication

To interact securely with our cloud backend (Supabase), the App automatically generates an anonymous, random token. This identifier does not link to any real-world identity.

c. Local Device Storage (Offline Database)

Your vehicle configuration (tank capacity, fuel type, average consumption), saved favorite stations, and Fuel Logbook fill-up records are stored strictly locally on your device in an internal database (Room/SQLite). This data remains on your phone and is never uploaded to our servers as personal profile data.

3. Third-Party Services

The App utilizes reputable third-party service providers that may process technical or device-level identifiers:

• Google Play Services & Apple App Store: Provide core operating system functionality and secure in-app purchase processing.
• Google AdMob: Displays advertisements in the free version. AdMob may process device advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, subject to your tracking consent choices) to deliver ads.
• RevenueCat: Manages anonymous purchase receipts and validates PRO lifetime access. RevenueCat never receives your credit card or payment credentials; all transactions are processed directly by Apple or Google.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): If you choose to enable price alerts for favorite petrol stations, an anonymous push token is generated to route price notifications to your device.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous crash logs, device models, and OS versions to diagnose technical bugs and improve app stability.
• Mapbox / Google Maps / OpenStreetMap: Used for map tile rendering, routing, and address searches.
• Supabase: Provides backend infrastructure and encrypted API transmission.

4. Lawful Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

• Consent: For location permissions and push notifications, which you can grant or revoke at any time in your device settings.
• Legitimate Interests: To maintain app performance, prevent fraud, and display relevant fuel data.
• Contractual Performance: To deliver and validate UK Fuel Prices PRO features purchased by the user.

5. Children's Privacy

UK Fuel Prices is designed for licensed drivers and general audiences. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Because your vehicle garage, favorite stations, and fuel logs are stored locally on your device, deleting the App removes all local data permanently.
